Nursing Program Philosophy
We believe nursing is a dynamic profession grounded in scientific theory that requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills based on the biological and social sciences, and the humanities. Nursing combines the art and science of caring to address the needs of the person, family, and community, through health promotion, health maintenance, health restoration, and the end of life care. We believe student learning is facilitated by utilizing best practices in teaching and learning including active-learning strategies, adult learning principles, and student-centered approaches.
